Died: 1 January 1863, Jamaica
Citation: For having headed a party of men of the 41st Regiment [at Little Inkerman, in the Crimea, on 26 October 1854], and having cut off and taken prisoners one Russian Officer and fourteen privates, three of whom he, personally and alone, captured.[London Gazette issue 21971 dated 24 Feb 1857, published 24 Feb 1857.]
