The 25 bolded numbers indicate the books from this list that I've read. Don't believe I've ever heard of Sarah Dessen, but it appears I'm going to have to take a look at her books next time I'm at the library.

Keeping the Moon is a wonderful book by Sarah Dessen. It is an inspiring story about friendship and trust. The main character, 15 year old Nicole Sparks, was forced to go to her Aunt Mira's house for the summer because her mom had to go on a world tour. Her mom, Kiki Sparks, is a famous fitness instructor. Nicole, also known as Colie, has not seen her aunt in a really long time, and now has to go live with her.
Colie feels very insecure and has never had friends. At first it was because she was fat, then because of a bad reputation she had. She and her mom were always moving and every new place she moved she built a bigger shell around herself. When she gets to her aunt Mira's house Colie thinks she is crazy. Everything in her house is broken and Colie is just not used to that. No one in town likes Mira and they all talk about her. She does not really listen to anything they say. She said it does not bother her when Colie asked.
